Once adopted the Funding Impact Statement in the draft ten year Long Term Plan (LTP) 2012‐2022 will be applied to the information in the RID to determine rates for 2012‐2013. Pursuant to s.28 of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002 (the Act), the RID for the Ruapehu District is currently available for inspection. The RID may be inspected, during normal opening hours, at all Council Service Centres: Huia Street, Taumarunui; Ayr Street, Ohakune; and Seddon Street, Raetihi. Extracts from the RID will be posted, faxed or emailed (pdf format) to ratepayers upon request. Pursuant to s.29 of the Act, ratepayers may object to the completeness and correctness of the infor‐ mation in the RID. An objection form is available and ratepayers need to submit any objections to the RID with Council by Friday 22 June 2012. Objections received by this date that result in a correction to the RID may affect the 2012‐2013 rates set. Objections received after this date that result in a correction may not be applied to the following rating year (2013‐2014). This operation will be conducted on behalf of the Animal Health Board to maintain low possum densities and progress towards eradication of bovine tuberculosis (TB) from wildlife and livestock in this area. All toxic baits will be dyed green. All unauthorised entry into the helipad area is prohibited. Dogs should be kept under strict control at all times and not have access to, or be taken into the operational area as they are particularly susceptible to 1080 and poisoned carcasses. The public is warned that it is an offence to unlawfully remove any warning signs erected on land to which the poison has been applied. The operational area is described as Hihitahi Forest Sanctuary.
